Life Run Sweet is expanding to running-themed apparel!!!

My site was built upon the belief that delicious desserts can be part of a runner’s (or athlete’s) diet in moderation. As a middle-of-the-pack runner, I know that I’ll never cross the finish line first. I run to stay in shape, for fun (sometimes), and for the fantastic community. Above all else, I don’t take running too seriously. I’d rather enjoy the miles, indulge in the occasional treat, and consistently run in the 11-12-minute-mile range. PRs mostly happen by accident, and I’m okay with that.

While Life Run Sweet started as a place to share decadent dessert recipes and inspirational running posts, I’ve always wanted to do more with it. Running my own business has always been at the back of my mind, especially a bakery. The timing never seemed right, though. But as with anything, the timing is never going to be perfect, so I decided to just go for it.

The countdown is on for running-themed apparel

As of last week, Life Run Sweet is officially registered as an LLC in North Carolina. I’ve been working hard at designing fun and sassy dessert-themed shirts for runners, with a plan to expand to other sports as the business grows. I’m finalizing the setup of an online shop, which will become part of the Life Run Sweet blog in the coming weeks.

I’m also looking into commercial kitchens where I can bake desserts and gain a presence by selling them at local farmers’ markets in the area.
